The web chart on the Compare page shows an overlay of transferable skills between roles, with insight into skill level. Since hiring STARs can be supported by evolving job descriptions to connect with expected skill levels, this chat demonstrates how a talent pool can change by changing skill level requirements.

Using this chart
To use this interactive chart:
1. On the left side of the chart, click along the ranges to update the education and skill levels for the selected role. Use the information on the Assess page to determine what ranges could be expanded.
By default, skill ranges are based on historical average requirements for the selected job.
2. Select the highlighted Update Talent Pool button to update the right side of the chart showing the talent pools for metros near the selected region.
- Use the Reset Skills button to return to the default state.
3. Once Update Talent Pool is selected on the left, the chart on the right shows how the pool of qualified workers grows or shrinks as the requirements change.
4. Use the racial demographic selector at the top of the chart to break out the talent pools to view how changing requirements can impact specific demographics.
5. The talent pool chart displays expected talent pools by region within the selected state. Scroll through the list to view all available areas.
